Committee formed to probe Biman server hacking

Hackers took control of the Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ email server on Friday, bringing to a stop the airline’s domestic and foreign communications. The hackers have threatened to leak business-related information if their ransom demand is not met within 10 days.

Confirming the matter at an event on Wednesday, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali said a committee has been formed to probe the incident.

However, he did not disclose any information regarding the members of the committee or the tasks they were given.

The state minister also did not say whether the hackers were local or foreign. When asked if any information has been leaked by the hackers, Mahbub said such details are as of yet unknown.
