Agitated commuters on Thursday blocked the airport road in the capital as many could not get on public transport for hours due to a recent government decision to run public transport at half capacity.
They took position on both sides of the airport road near Khilkhet in the capital around 8:30am and demanded an end to their sufferings with sudden government decisions.
Also on the same day, more than hundred bikers blocked different roads in the capital including Dhanmondi 27 intersection, Badda and Press Club area protesting a ban imposed by Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) on bike ridesharing services for the next two weeks.
The government recently issued a directive to all public transports including buses to run at half capacity.
