The contractual appointments of Bangla Academy director general Professor Dr Md Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy director general Liaquat Ali Lucky have been terminated.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Saturday.
Besides, the contractual appointments of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) managing director and chief editor Abul Kalam Azad, Jatiya Grantha Kendro director Minar Monsur, and first secretary (press) at the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in India's Kolkata Ranjan Sen, have also been scrapped.
The order will be effective soon in public interest, read the notification.
Earlier, the interim government gave contractual appointments to five secretaries in ministries and the President’s Office.
