A constable of the Special Branch (SB) of police reportedly committed suicide on Monday morning by jumping from the roof of a five-storey building in the capital’s Khilgaon area.
Family sources said Tofazzal Hossain was worring too much about catching coronavirus.
Family members said Tofazzal went to the roof top of the house and a sound of something heavy falling was heard within minutes. Later the police constable was found dead on the front side of the house.
They said Tofazzal’s coronavirus test came negative but still he was not over his worry. Family members said Tofazzal was restless for the last few days.
Confirming the incident, Khilgaon police station OC Moshiur Rahman said police is working to verify the claim.
