Four women and a man who posed as patients travelling from Narayanganj to Patuakhali in an ambulance on Monday tested Covid-19 positive on Friday (April 24).

Authorities on Friday confirmed all five were found positive with coronavirus.

Earlier, upon suspicion, locals with help from local administration stopped the ambulance and challenged the passengers in Kalaiya area of Patuakhali's Bauphal upazila.

Later police arrived at the scene and detained the passengers. They were  placed in quarantine at Idris Molla Degree College in Kalaiya, confirmed Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Prashanta Kumar Saha on today.
