A Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) physician, who tested positive for coronavirus, was airlifted to Dhaka on Thursday night after his condition deteriorated.
Dr Masud Ahmed, assistant professor of Urology department of the hospital, was sent to Dhaka by a helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force around 9:30 pm, hospital sources said.
Masud was tested positive with the virus on 18th April and was unergoing treatment in Khulna.
Authorities were trying to shift him to Dhaka after his condition worsened this afternoon.
