A private hospital has been designated for policemen infected with coronavirus as number of infected cases among cops is on the rise.
Infected police personnel will receive treatment at Impulse Hospital, situated at Tejgaon Industrial area in the capital, from Saturday onwards.
Khadija Akhtar Jhuma, acting chief executive at Impulse Hospital, confirmed the matter.
"The 250-bed hospital has been prepared for coronavirus patients after shifting regular patients to elsewhere. Doctors and nurses of the hospital will provide treatment wearing PPE and other gears to policemen," Khadija Akhtar Jhuma said.
Most of the infected policemen are currently undergoing treatment at the Central Police Hospital in city's Rajarbagh area.
