A couple was found dead in a house at Subarnapur in Cumilla Sadar upazila early Monday.
Kamal Krishna Dhar, inspector of Kotwali model police station, said local people found the door of the couple’s house open in the morning and saw them dead.
The hands and legs of the couple -- Billal Hossain, a rural doctor, and his wife Safura Begum -- were found tied up, but there was no injury mark in their bodies.
On information, police went to the spot and sent the bodies to Cumilla Medical College morgue for autopsy.
Police suspected that miscreants might have entered the house some time at night and strangled them to death.
