A court on Thursday sent City Bank Chairman Aziz Al Kaiser to jail in three separate cases filed by his wife with the capital's Tejgaon Industrial Police Station over alleged forgery and money embezzlement.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim passed the order as the accused surrendered before the court and pleaded for permanent bail. The plaintiff party, however, opposed the plea.
Kaiser's wife Tabassum Kaiser earlier pleaded to take her allegations as four separate cases against her husband for allegedly taking refuge of forgery, faking her signature and handing over her shares from Star Particles Mills Limited to someone else.
The court had ordered Tejgaon Industrial Police Station to accept the FIR of three cases.
Aziz Al Kaiser, also the managing director of Star Particles Mills Limited, surrendered before the court on February 7 and the court allowed him conditional bail till March 16.
