Former state minister for commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu – along with 129 people – has been indicted in a case filed under Speedy Trial Act in Tangail.
Monir Hossain, a student of European University of Bangladesh, filed the case with Tangail Senior Judicial Magistrate Court on Monday over an attack on a rally of Boishommo Birodhi Chhatra Andolon on July 18, said plaintiff Advocate MA Malek Adnan.
Judge of the Senior Magistrate Court Poshupoti Biswas ordered the officer-in-charge (OC) of Nagarpur police station to take the case, reports BSS.
Ahsanul Islam Titu's brother Panna was also charged in the case.
