The High Court (HC) on Monday refused to allow bail to the suspended deputy inspector general (DIG) of police Mizanur Rahman in a graft case as it deleted the matter from its cause list.
A High Court division bench of Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman and Justice Md Ali Reza deleted the matter as it came up as number 39 on today's cause list.
Advocate Shah Manjurul Haque appeared for the suspended DIG, while senior Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan stood for the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The ACC on June 24, 2019, filed the case against Mizanur Rahman, his wife Sohelia Anar Rotna and nephew Mahmudul Hasan for amassing an illegal wealth of Taka three crore.
