A court on Sunday placed Sultana Ahmed, former general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal, on a two-day remand in a Digital Security Act (DSA) case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam passed the order when police placed her before the court demanding a seven-day remand.
RAB-3 arrested Sultana from her residence in Gulshan on Sunday morning.
Former president of Gopalganj District Chhatra League Abdul Hamid filed the case with Paltan Model Police Station.
According to the case, Sultana made hateful and offensive comments about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina while attending a rally of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in front of the public media.
