Md Baker, the plaintiff of the case filed against Supreme Court lawyer ZI Khan Panna and others, submitted an application to the officer-in-charge of Khilgaon Police Station to exclude the name Panna from the “ezhar.”
The name of ZI Khan Panna, 65, also a human rights activist, was included in the “ezhar” “mistakenly,” he said in the application.
Baker filed the attempted murder case against 180 people including Panna on Thursday.
According to the case statement, Ahadul Islam along with others were staging demonstrations in the Meradia Bazar area during the recent mass uprising.
A group of police, BGB members and leaders and activists of Awami League opened fire on the protesting people, leaving Ahadul injured with a bullet.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzman Khan, ex-public administration minister Farhad Hossain, Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, former joint commissioner of DMP Biplab Kumar, former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun, former DMP commissioner Habibur Rahman, former PBI chief Banaj Kumar Majumder, former director general of RAB Barrister Harun-or-Rashid were among the accused in the case.
Earlier, in the day, the High Court granted anticipatory bail to ZI Khan Panna in the case.
