A court on Tuesday imposed a travel ban on former Magura-1 lawmaker Saifuzzaman Shekhor and his wife Sima Rahman over graft allegations.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammed Ash Shams Joglul passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Assistant Director Md Ismail, reports BSS.
According to the case documents, the anti-graft body is probing allegations of amassing huge illegal wealth in his and his family members' names through corruption. It is learned that the accused are trying to escape the country to evade justice.
