A court on Thursday imposed a travel ban on former Feni-2 lawmaker Nizam Uddin Hazari, his wife Nurjahan Begum, former Bogura-5 lawmaker Habibur Rahman and his son Asif Iqbal over graft allegations.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Ash Shams Zaglul Hossain passed the orders, allowing separate pleas of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), reports BSS.
Deputy Director of ACC Md Nurul Huda pleaded to ban foreign travel of Hazari and his wife, while Deputy Director Asaduzzaman filed a petition for imposing a travel ban on Habibur and his son.
ACC public prosecutor Mahmud Hossain Jahangir moved the two pleas before the court.
Meanwhile, the same court imposed a travel ban on the former director general (DG) of the Postal Department Sudhanshu Shekhar Bhadra.
