A court on Tuesday imposed a travel ban on Bogura-2 former lawmaker Shariful Islam Jinnah and former cabinet secretary Kabir Bin Anwar in connection with corruption allegations against them.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Mohammad Ash Shams Zaglul Hossain passed the order, allowing separate pleas filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), reports BSS.
Earlier, investigation officer of the case and ACC assistant director Nurul Islam filed the plea to impose travel ban on Shariful Islam Jinnah, while Deputy Director of the anti-graft body Md Zakaria pleaded to slap travel embargo against Kabir Bin Anwar.
