A writ petition was filed in the public interest on Tuesday in the High Court by lawyer Kamrul Hasan seeking reforms in the secondary school education system.
The petition also calls for the formation of an investigative committee to identify those responsible for creating flawed curricula.
Additionally, the petition demands the suspension of the current education curriculum starting in 2025. The education secretary, NCTB chairman, director general of Secondary and Higher Education, and the secretary of Primary and Mass Education have been named as respondents in the petition.
The writ petition will be heard by the High Court bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Muhammad Mahbub-ul-Islam.
