Bangladesh reported 34 new deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 4,702.
Another 1,282 new positive cases have been found after testing 10,723 samples in the last 24 hours. Total number of cases in the country now stands at 336,044.
Of the total sample tests, 11.96 percent tested positive in the past 24 hours, while 19.59 percent cases were detected from the total tests conducted so far.
Health authorities reported another 2,247 people to have recovered from the disease in a day, rising the total number of recoveries to 238,271.
A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) made the disclosure on Saturday afternoon.
