Bangladesh reported one more Covid-19-linked death and 36 fresh cases in 24 hours till Sunday morning.
With the new numbers, the country's total fatalities rose to 29,468 and caseload to 2,043,971, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily case test positivity rate rose to 5.64 per cent from Saturday’s 4.27 per cent as 638 samples were tested.
However, the recovery and death rates remained unchanged at 98.38 and 1.44 per cent, respectively.
Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 in 2021 and its highest number of fatalities of 264 on August 10 the same year.
