Bangladesh added 10 new coronavirus-related deaths and 339 infections in a 24-hour period till 8:00am on Monday.
Against a 5-day downward trend, the positivity rate marginally went to 1.8 per cent from Sunday’s 1.74 per cent.
With this, the daily-case positivity rate in the country remained below 5 per cent for the 28th consecutive day.
In Bangladesh, the daily-case positivity rate reached its peak of 32.55 per cent on July 24 this year.
The overall caseload now stands at 15,65,827 and the total fatalities at 27,778 according to the press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 18,812 samples at 831 laboratories across the country.
Bangladesh has so far tested 1,01,13,794 samples.
Meanwhile, 509 patients recovered from the deadly infection in the last 24-hours, raising the overall recovery to 15,28,371.
Among the fresh fatalities, four were males and six were females.
Dhaka and Khulna divisions logged the highest deaths with three fatalities each; followed by two in Chattogram; and one each in Rajshahi and Khulna.
Barishal, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions reported no new deaths.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8 last year and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 the same year.
Meanwhile, the global Covid-19 caseload reached 241,556,678 and the death toll to 4,915,959 till Monday morning, according to US-based Johns Hopkins University (JHU) update.
