Bangladesh recorded 200 more coronavirus related deaths till 8:00am on Tuesday in the last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.
The total caseload in the country now stands at 11,28,889.
With the latest figures, the total death toll increased to 18,325.
Meanwhile, 9,997 patients recovered from the deadly infection in last 24-hours. A total of 9,51,340 patients recovered from coronavirus in the country till date.
The new cases were reported after testing 39, 510 samples. The case positivity rate slightly declined to 29.31 per cent from Monday’s 29.59 per cent, DGHS said.
Meanwhile the country’s fatality rate remained static at 1.62 per cent.
