Bangladesh reported three new coronavirus-related death and 206 infections in a 24-hour period till 8:00am on Tuesday.
During this period, the positivity rate dropped to 1.18 from Monday's 1.28 per cent.
With this, the daily-case positivity rate in the country remained below 2 per cent for the 21st consecutive day.
In Bangladesh, the daily-case positivity rate reached its peak 32.55 per cent on July 24 this year.
The overall caseload now stands at 15,71,434 and the total fatalities at 27,904 according to the press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 17,530 samples at 834 laboratories across the country.
Bangladesh has so far tested 1,05,07,942 samples.
Meanwhile, 356 patients recovered from the deadly infection in the last 24-hours, raising the overall recovery to 15,35,390.
Chattogram division logged the highest number of deaths with two fatalities, Dhaka division logged one fatality.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8 last year and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 the same year.
Meanwhile, the global Covid-19 caseload reached 250,460,597 and the death toll to 5,058,586 till Tuesday morning, according to US-based Johns Hopkins University (JHU) update.
