Bangladesh registered two more Covid related deaths and 512 new infections in 24hrs until Friday morning.
According to the latest data, the number of total fatalities reached 28,072, while the positivity rate stood at 2.74 per cent.
After adding the fresh cases, the total number of caseloads jumped to 15,85,539 said a regular bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 18,673 samples at 852 laboratories across the country.
At the same time, 290 patients recovered from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, raising the overall recovery to 15,49,101.
Bangladesh has so far tested 1,14,91,488 samples.
Meanwhile, the global Covid cases rise to 286,597,691and the fatalities reached 5,431,860.
