Covid-19: Bangladesh reports 3 more deaths, 295 new infections

Bangladesh registered three more Covid-related deaths and 295 new infections in the last 24 hours until Tuesday morning.

According to the latest data, the total number of fatalities reached 28,034 while the positivity rate stood at 1.29 per cent.

After adding the fresh cases, the total caseload jumped to 15,80,005 said a regular bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 22,870 samples at 848 laboratories across the country. Bangladesh has so far tested 1,11,65,105 samples.

At the same time, 247 patients recovered from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, raising the overall recovery to 15,44,664.

Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8 last year and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 the same year.
