Bangladesh registered six more Covid-related deaths and 329 new infections in the last 24 hours until Sunday morning. 

According to the latest data, the total number of fatalities reached 28,028 while the positivity rate stood at 1.52 per cent.

After adding the fresh cases, the total caseload jumped to 15,79,325, said a regular bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 21,612 samples at 848 laboratories across the country. Bangladesh has so far tested 1,11,20,198 samples.

At the same time, 288 patients recovered from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, raising the overall recovery to 15,44,150.

Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8 last year and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 the same year.
