COVID-19: Bangladesh sees 69 more deaths, 6,028 fresh cases

Bangladesh recorded 69 more deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours till 8:00am on Tuesday, bringing the death toll to 9,891.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter in a press release.

Besides, 6,028 people tested positive for the virus during the same period taking the total number of infections to 697,985.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 585,966 with 4,853 patients got cured in the last 24 hours, said the DGHS.

The government is set to enforce a strict lockdown from April 14 to April 20 to curb the spread of novel coronavirus as Bangladesh is currently experiencing a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
