Habiganj’s Baniachong upazila officer-in-charge (OC) Ranjan Kumar Samanta has been closed after he declined to discharge his duty during the ongoing coronavirus epidemic.
Police Headquarters Assistant Inspector General (AIG, Media) Md Sohel Rana confirmed the matter to media.
Samanta disagreed to perform his field work in Baniachong.
He has been temporarily replaced by the OC (Investigation), said Habiganj Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Ullah.
