Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh Arunrung Phothong Humphreys on Thursday handed over basic food items worth around Tk 100,000 to Bidyanondo Foundation to support its emergency response in flood-affected areas in Bangladesh during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Firoz Salah Uddin, Executive Member, represented Bidyanondo Foundation while receiving the support.
This donation represents friendship between Thais and Bangladeshis, said the Embassy.
The Thai community and the Embassy hoped that this contribution would help address the needs of those affected by COVID-19 at this difficult time.
Donated food items included rice, lentils, gram seeds, semolina and cooking oil.
"Together we will get through this difficult time," said the Embassy.
