Bangladesh on Tuesday recorded the highest ever 7,213 COVID-19 fresh cases and 66 deaths from the disease in the past 24 hours till 8:00 am.
With this, the total number of deaths rose to 9,384 said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services.
With Tuesday's 7,213 the total number of infected people rose to 6,51,652.
This is the third consecutive day Bangladesh registered over 7,000 cases.
The country registered over 5,000 cases each day since March 29.
The health directorate said that at least 2,969 COVID-19 patients have recovered during the period.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 5,58,383.
