Another 101 people died of COVID-19 in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours till 8:00am on Saturday, brining its tally to 10,283, said Directorate General of Health Services in a press release.
The country registered same number of 101 deaths from the deadly virus on Friday too, which is the highest ever single-day tally since the pandemic hit the country.
The DGHS said on Saturday that 3,473 more people tested positive for the virus taking the total number of infections to 715,252.
Bangladesh is currently observing a week-long tighter lockdown which will continue till April 21 as a part of the measures to tackle the spread of a second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
