Thirteen more Covid patients died in the past 24 hours at Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital till Tuesday morning, according to the district's health officials.
"Of the deceased, five were Covid-19 positive while the others died with Covid-like-symptoms," said Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani, director of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH).
Twelve of them were from Rajshahi and the remaining one from Natore.
With 56 new cases, a total of 393 people are currently undergoing Covid treatment at the hospital where 19 are in ICU unit.
On Monday, 188 samples were tested in the hospital's lab and 274 in the PCR lab. Of these, 50 people were identified as Covid positive in the RMCH Lab and 102 in the PCR Lab.
As per the test ratio of the samples, the infection rate in Rajshahi is 33.51 per cent — the highest in the division.
Besides, the infection rate in the Chapainawabganj district was 29.87 per cent.
So far, 272 people died at RMCH till Tuesday.
