Bangladesh reported three new coronavirus-related deaths and 196 infections in a 24-hour period till 8:00am on Friday.
During this period, the positivity rate dropped further down to 1.12 from Thursday's 1.32 per cent.
With this, the daily-case positivity rate in the country remained below 2 per cent for the 17th consecutive day.
In Bangladesh, the daily-case positivity rate reached its peak 32.55 per cent on July 24 this year.
The overall caseload now stands at 15,70,681, and the total fatalities at 27,890 according to the press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 17,446 samples at 833 laboratories across the country.
Bangladesh has so far tested 1,04,45,294 samples.
Meanwhile, 178 patients recovered from the deadly infection in the last 24-hours, raising the overall recovery to 15,34,478.
Among the fresh fatalities, one was male and two were females.
Chattogram, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions logged one fatality each.

Meanwhile, the global Covid-19 caseload reached 249,485,407 and the death toll to 5,047,833 till Friday morning, according to US-based Johns Hopkins University (JHU) update.
