Bangladesh reported 83 deaths in the 24 hours till 8:00 am on Saturday, which is the lowest daily tally than that of the past four days since April 20, according to a release issued by the Director General of Health Services.
The number of daily cases has also showed a downward trend from the last couple of days as 2,697 people tested positive in the 24 hours.
As of 8:00 am Saturday, the number of Covid-19 fatalities rose to 10,952 and caseloads 742,400, said the release.
With 88 deaths registered on Friday, 98 on Thursday and 95 on Wednesday, the country is currently observing a strict lockdown to curb a second wave of the pandemic.
