Covid-19: Dhaka’s Bashundhara to be locked down tonight

Dhaka's Bashundhara Residential Area under Vatara police station will be locked down as a red zone tonight to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The lockdown will be enforced from midnight in coordination with the city corporation concerned, health ministry and district administration, confirmed Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Vatara police station Muktaruzzaman on Thursday.

The area will be completely shut as a part of the government’s ongoing plan to enforce zone-based lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus, the OC added.

Earlier, the capital’s East Rajabazar area was placed on a complete lockdown from June 9.
