Authorities shut the Chunarughat Upazila Health Complex in Habiganj for seven days from Saturday as a doctor and a health worker tested positive for novel coronavirus.
In the last 24 hours, 25 more people were diagnosed with Covid-19 in the district; of the infected, there was a five-year-old child of a tea-garden worker. The baby was sent to Shaheed Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital in Sylhet.
Under the circumstances, the hospital has been closed for seven days, confirmed Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Mukhlesur Rahman Ujjal.
Among the four districts under Sylhet division, Habiganj is the worst hit as a total of 46 people have been infected with coronavirus in the district so far, he added.
