The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has directed the authorities concerned to keep all Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) laboratories open and functional across Bangladesh to continue conducting Covid-19 tests during all types of government holidays including Eid, weekly and other holidays.
The order was issued through a notification date Thursday in this regard signed by Dr Bilkis Begum, deputy secretary of the ministry.
According to the notification, the government requested, considering the current Covid-19 situation in the country, that appropriate action be taken during holidays to collect, submit and test the samples for coronavirus infection in all the PCR labs.
