Eighteen more people died at the Covid-19 unit of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital in the past 24 hours till Friday morning.
Three of the deceased tested positive for Covid-19 while others died with Covid-like-symptoms, said RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.
Among the deceased, 10 were from Rajshahi, two each from Chapainawabganj, Natore and Naogaon, and one each from Kushtia and Sirajganj.
With 78 new admissions, a total of 501 patients are undergoing treatment at the Covid unit of the hospital, he added.
Some 52 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.
