Nineteen more people, including six women, died at the Covid-19 unit of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital in the past 24 hours till Tuesday morning.
Four of the deceased tested positive for Covid-19 while others died with Covid-like-symptoms, said RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.
Among the deceased, 10 were from Rajshahi, two each from Naogaon and Natore, and one each from Chapainawabganj, Kushtia, Pabna, Chuadanga, and Joypurhat.
With 76 new cases, a total of 489 patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital against 454 beds.
So far, 499 people died at RMCH till Tuesday morning.
The RMCH, on June 29, reported 25 deaths from the novel coronavirus infection, which is the highest single-day death toll at the hospital so far.
