The authorities on Tuesday announced to reduce the Covid-19 test fees at private laboratories in the country.
Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of Directorate General of Health Services, said from now it will charge Tk 2,500 instead of Tk 3,000 for Covid-19 test for the migrants.
She also said that for common people private laboratories would now charge Tk 3,000 instead of Tk 3,500 for Covid-19 test.
Speaking in regular DGHS press briefing, Nasima said that if a sample was collected from home for Covid-19 test, private labs would now charge Tk 3,700 instead of Tk 4,500.
However, the fees for Covid-19 test at government facilities will remain unchanged at Tk 100, she added.
Nasima urged the home-goers to go for a test if they developed any Covid-19 symptom once they returned to cities.
