Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury, the chairman of Jobeda Khatun Shastha Seba (JKG) Health Care, was arrested Sunday by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) over fraudulent Covid-19 test report scam.
Mahmud Khan, assistant commissioner of Tejgaon zone, confirmed the matter to the Business Post.
He said Dr Sabrina was summoned to the police station Sunday morning for initial interrogation. She was shown arrested later in the afternoon after interrogation in the case over her involvement in the fake coronavirus report racket, Mahmud Khan added.
Earlier on June 23, police detained five people linked with the Jobeda Khatun General - JKG Health Care, a sister concern of Oval Group, in Dhaka over the allegations that they were involved in issuing fake coronavirus test results without testing the samples in actual.
