Covid-19 Vaccination Day to be observed on July 19

Bangladesh will observe Covid-19 Vaccination Day on July 19 to strengthen vaccination activities as well as inoculate booster doses over the country.

The campaign will start from 9:00am on the day and people aged 18 and above will be inoculated with Pfizer doses.

Eligible people can receive booster doses from the nearest vaccination centre or any Covid-19 vaccination centre in Bangladesh subject to proper proof (vaccination certificate or card), according to a notification issued by Expanded Programme on Immunisation on Wednesday.

A third dose or booster dose week has been successfully conducted in the past to accumulate the Covid-19 vaccination. In continuation of this, they will observe the Covid-19 vaccination day, the notification said.

It also said that the Covid-19 Vaccination Committee, in coordination with all offices concerned, will observe the day by encouraging people to receive their booster doses amid nationwide campaigns and make arrangements to administer booster doses to all eligible citizens.
