Twenty-five patients died of Covid-19 in the 24 hours till 8:00 am on Sunday taking the toll of fatalities to 12,149, said the Directorate General of Health Services in a press release.
Besides, 363 people tested positive for the virus during the same period pushing the caseloads to 780,159.
The toll of recoveries rose to 722,036 with 601 patients got cured from the disease in the 24 hours taking the rate of recoveries at 92.55 per cent, said the directorate.
The rate of positivity now stands at 13.67 per cent and mortality rate at 1.56 per cent.
The government issued a notification on Sunday extending the ongoing nationwide lockdown till May 23 which was earlier scheduled to end on May 16.
