Bangladesh witnessed a decline in Covid-19 infections Saturday as 1,452 people tested positive for the virus in the 24 hours till 8:00 am, which is the lowest single-day caseloads in six weeks, according to a release issued by the Director General of Health Services.
In the 24 hours, 60 people died of the virus taking the total number of deaths to 11,510.
The tally of infections rose to 760,584 and recoveries 684,671 with 3,245 patients got cured from the disease during the same period, said the DGHS.
The total positivity rate from the virus now stands at 13.87 per cent and death rate 1.51 per cent.
Bangladesh is currently observing a nationwide lockdown which will continue till May 5 to tackle a second wave of the pandemic.
