The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that pilgrims must complete all Covid-19 vaccinations at least 10 days prior to the start of the Hajj season to be eligible to perform the rituals.
In line with the Saudi government’s requirements, the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Bangladesh issued a notification on Friday, directing the hajj pilgrims to receive their Covid-19 vaccine promptly.
The registration process of the pilgrims of 2023 has already been completed. Hajj flights are scheduled to start on May 21. Hence, the ministry requests to start the vaccination process for Hajj pilgrims from May 6, read the notification.
The pilgrim must also attach a copy of the vaccination certificate to the application form, it added.
