A Dhaka court has placed Mohammad Wahiduzzaman, a director of Crest Securities Ltd on a two-day remand in a case filed over embezzling shares and money of stock investors.
Metropolitan Magistrate Md Atiqul Islam passed the order on Wednesday (July 29).
Earlier on the day, Mohammad Hassan, an inspector of DB police, produced the accused before the court with a 10-day remand prayer while defence lawyers submitted a petition seeking bail and cancellation of the remand prayer.
After hearing both parties, the magistrate delivered the remand order.
Earlier on 28 July, the Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Wahiduzzaman from the capital’s Khilkhet area over allegedly embezzling shares and money of stock investors.
