Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan met the Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle kabir on Tuesday.
Officials of the central bank said that the poster boy of the Bangladesh Cricket went to the head office of the central bank at around 12:30pm to meet the BB governor.
Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and Spokesperson Serajul Islam confirmed the issue to The Business post.
However, he did not want to explain the details of Shakib’s visit.
Shakib and his mother Shirin Akhter’s names were sent to Bangladesh Bank for NOCs as they are set to gain control over two directorships of the People's Bank, said an official of the People's Bank.
