A man has been stabbed to death by miscreants in Jashore's Bakchar area.
The incident took place around 9:45pm on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Jasim Uddin, 27, son of Abdus Quddus of Hakoba village in Manirampur upazila.
Quoting the relatives of the deceased, police said Jasim came to Jashore from Manirampur in the evening for business purposes. He was severely injured after being stabbed by miscreants in the Bakchar Sheikh Hasina Software Park area of the city.
Later, he was taken to Jashore General Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tajul Islam said the body was sent to Jashore General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police are investigating what led to his death, the OC added.
