RAB seizes 4,210 yaba tablets, arrests woman in Jashore

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged woman drug peddler and seized 4,210 pieces of yaba tablets from Jashore on Sunday, said a RAB-6 press release Monday.

On a tip-off, a team of RAB-6 conducted a drive at AJR Parcel and Courier Service Ltd office at Ghop Central Road of Jashore town on Sunday noon and seized the yaba tablets, the press release said, adding that the cartoon has come through the courier service from Cox's Bazar.

Later, the RAB members arrested Firoza Khatun, 28, wife of late Wasim Gazi, hailed from Jashore Pourashava Railgate area, when she came to receive the parcel.

The arrestee primarily confessed to RAB that she is a member of a drug smuggling syndicate and has been involved in illegal drug trading for a long time, the release added.
