A Rohingya youth was shot dead by miscreants at the Ukhiya Rohingya camp on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Rafiq, 35, son of Dil Mohammad and resident of A/9 block of Ukhiya Rohingya camp-19.
Farooq Ahmad, assistant superintendent of police (ASP) Farooq Ahmad of APBN-8, said that 10-15 armed miscreants abducted Rafiq from his own block of camp-19 and shot him dead on the spot.
The body was handed over to the police after recovery, said the ASP adding that efforts are going on to identify and arrest those involved in the incident.
