ATM Alamgir, former lawmaker from the Cumilla-10 (Laksam-Monohargonj) constituency, died of Covid-19 while undergoing treatment at Green Life Hospital in Dhaka.
He breathed his last around 9pm Monday.
The deceased’s younger brother Kamal Hossain Bulu confirmed the information to The Business Post.
Alamgir was a freedom fighter and a leader of Jatiya Party.
He represented the Cumilla-10 constituency at the national parliament from 1991 to 1996.
